Hi Daniel,
This is great!
I will check it out.
Doing a fast check in OpenALSoft website, i see there we still need have the implementation of the driver on the target platform.
You know if it´s possible have access to the sources of the OpenAL Driver itself?
I´m trying find out a open-Source Solution where I can have my own version of the driver ,and compile it to the target platform without worry about if the driver are implemented on the machine or not, like I do with the Lua Software , for example.
Since my application is for academic purposes(to teach and learn how drivers are implemented) it will be great have something like that...you know if it´s possible have access to the Source code of OpenAL or someone where I can request it?
Kind Regards.
William Wolff

I use OpenAL for years in my OpenGL aplications to play sounds and effects.etc.
Now I have a portable 3D Application that run in multiple platforms(Mac and Linux), and it will be great if I can get OpenAL in the other platforms too(actually I have it only in windows)
Anyone can help me how I can get OpenAL and Alut in other plattforms like Mac and Linux?
Any help will be great!
Kind Regards.

Hi,
OS X has OpenAL built in, and on all platforms you can use OpenAL-soft, which is pretty awesome: http://kcat.strangesoft.net/openal.html
(On Linux it's the only actively developed OpenAL implementation afaik, on OSX it offers more features than Apple's OpenAL)
Cheers,
Daniel
