You can manually parse your .wav files, or use a library like NAudio or CSCore to load them. Personally I prefer CSCore.

I know the answer will be simple but I cannot find it anywhere.
I'm using Visual Studio 2015 C# to try and put together a sound simulation
for a piston engine aircraft.
I have .wav files of the fuel pump, booster pump, engine cartridge start,
engine idle sound and shutdown.
I need to change the tempo of the idle sound, i.e. the rate at which the wav
is repeated.

I'm looking forward to try playing with OpenAL (OpenTK) but please could
some kind soul tell me how I load a .wav into a buffer so I can get it to
play?

Thanks in advance.

Al
