[openal] OpenAL Soft 1.17.0 bug with ALSA backend

With version 1.17.0 (but not with version 1.16.0) I'm getting an error
every time the alsa backend is used.  Here is the output of openal-info:

I also tried compiling from git with both gcc and clang and got the same
error.
