[openal] Using the EFX Equalizer Effect convert Stereo sound to mono?

Hello All,

I have used the EFX extension EQ effect with my sounds, but now they come out as mono...the sounds are stereo and play in stereo mode without the EQ effect applied...is this by design ? Any work around ?
